• 1 Pound Green Beans, ends trimmed and cut in half
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Small Onion, chopped
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, graded
  • 8 – 10 Shitake Mushrooms, sliced
  • ¼ Cup White Wine
  • 1 Tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon Juice
  • Sea Salt and Pepper to taste

 

There are a number of dishes you can make with Green beans, 3 bean salad, green beans with veggie bacon etc… I like this recipe as it spices up your green bean experience.

Cooking Time: 15 minutes Prep & 15 minutes cooking

Directions:

  1. Use a large sauce pan on medium heat and add olive oil
  2. Add the mushrooms and stir occasionally until starting to get soft then
  3. Add garlic and onions, cook until soft and tender
  4. Add white wine, soy sauce and hot sauce stir for about 2 minutes.
  5. Add the green beans and add lemon juice on top.
  6. Cook for about 10 minutes until beans are cooked. Stir occasionally to evenly cook.
  7. Add sea salt and pepper taste.
